
James H. Coleman
James Coleman is the Managing Partner of Hanley Advisors, LLC, which he formed in 2002 after leaving Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. as the firm’s number-one producer worldwide. Jim has over 30 years of experience advising the senior executives at Fortune 500 Companies. Jim has successfully completed hundreds of transactions in the New York metro area alone, and has been involved in over 20,000,000 SF of real estate activities nationwide. Jim specializes in advising senior executives at Fortune 500 Companies and leaders of private equity firms on the best strategic direction for their company’s real estate portfolio. Jim has represented Richemont North America, Kmart/Sears, Cetera Financial Group, OneWest Bank, The Jarden Corporation and Tribune Publishing on real estate assignments across the United States and has represented multiple clients in the New York Metro area, among them Koch Industries, Quadrant Management, Carret Asset Management, Sandell Asset Management, Brean Murray, Halcyon Asset Management, Delphi Capital, Lightyear Capital, Dune Capital, Sycamore Capital, TriLantic Capital Partners, Garnet/Silver Rock (Milken Family), Pointstate, Level Global as well as OSI, a not-for-profit organization related to the Soros Group, and Soros Fund Management. Prior to Hanley Advisors His expertise in real estate extends beyond the U.S. to various international venues, and covers office, warehouse/distribution and retail locations. Prior to joining C&W, Jim was Executive Director of the New York office of Cushman Realty, where he acted as a global advisor to PaineWebber, Inc. on all real estate activities. While at C&W, Jim represented UBS on their 1.2 Million square foot office lease in Jersey City as well as hundreds of thousands of square feet leased in the retail/office branches throughout the country. Jim is a graduate of Skidmore College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. Jim is a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

Steven Kaufman
Steven is a Partner at Hanley Advisors, LLC and is responsible for transaction management services for corporate and institutional clients, including market reviews, financial analysis and negotiations, structured finance, municipal incentives and contract negotiations. Steven has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. While at Hanley Advisors since inception, Steven has represented Richemont North America, Kmart/Sears, Cetera Financial Group, OneWest Bank, Tribune Publishing and the Jarden Corporation on their domestic and global real estate activities. In addition, Steven has represented several clients on brokerage assignments in New York City , among them Koch Industries, Quadrant Management, Carret Asset Management, Sandell Asset Management, Brean Murray, Halcyon Asset Management, Delphi Capital, Lightyear Capital, Dune Capital, Sycamore Capital, TriLantic Capital Partners, Religare Capital, Pointstate and Level Global Investors as well as OSI, a not-for-profit organization related to the Soros Group, and Soros Fund Management. Prior to Hanley Advisors, Steven served as a Director at Cushman & Wakefield, servicing several of the firm’s corporate clients, including UBS PaineWebber, Pfizer, Chubb, Viacom, Southern Union, and Westinghouse. He had worked, prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, for more than ten years in corporate real estate, including positions as real estate director for the CBS Corporation. Additionally, Steven was a vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he spent over six years in various senior positions. Steven graduated from the University of Michigan and holds an MBA from Fordham University.
